Evaluation of RecoveryWorks, Massachusetts General Hospital 

STAR has been delighted to partner with Recovery Works, a specialist recovery and employment programme, based in Massachusetts General Hospital, and a part of Harvard Medical School. Our role has been to evaluate and consult on the unique and innovative programme that they offer around supporting people in recovery back into employment and continuing to provide support for up to five years as a core part of sustaining individuals’ recovery journeys. Participants in this online programme take part in a 16-week intensive support package supplemented with coaching and input from employment specialists.

This work has seen us contribute to the dissemination work (see attached poster) and is a core component of our Recovery and Employment working group where we are bringing together experts from the US and the UK to deploy a recovery capital focus on innovation around the dynamic relationship between meaningful activities and recovery capital growth. This initiative is led by Professor David Best and Shelley Duffy.
